Pray for the Widow

Believing in the power of prayer

For the Widow is a ministry based on Faith. While we believe in the importance of intentional planning, financial prudence, and wise choices, we also trust that the Lord is leading this ministry. That is why prayer partners are an essential part of supporting For the Widow.

Each quarter, we will have a list of specific ways you can pray for the widows, the community, and the ministry.

  • Praise: We've received the funding needed to cover the first cohort of 2027 for our literacy program.  
  • Request: Wisdom and patience as we continue seeking land and the first phases of the Widows Empowerment Center. Pray for generous hearts at our two fundraisers, as we seek to fund the land and buildings. 
  • Request: Our widow, Denise, has a finger with gangrene. She will most likely need it amputated. Please pray for her recovery and that it doesn't spread to other parts of her body. 
  • Praise: Our program director, Miqueas, and our assistant director, Tony, both received their visas in time to visit the United States for the first time. Please pray for their trip and that the time here will be fruitful as we seek new church partners.
  • Pray for the team traveling to the DR November 7-14. They will be visiting the widows, sharing the Gospel in the community, and conducting Bible Studies.
