Looking for a mission trip 2026 that combines hands-on service with deep spiritual impact? Join For the Widow Ministries in the Dominican Republic for a week of serving widows, building relationships, and making disciples in Barahona’s most vulnerable communities.
Our mission trips aren’t just about construction projects or quick service — they’re about sitting with widows in their homes, praying together, sharing the gospel with people in the communities, and building friendships that honor God and transform lives. Pictures and videos are great, but when you GO and meet the people, experience their culture, and see how God works, you become a changed person.
If you are interested in serving on a trip in the Dominican Republic, we have two ways for you to join.
Option 1 - Join Our Team On a Scheduled Trip
Leaders within our organization take teams to serve the widows at different times throughout the year. We have a schedule of trips below.
If you are interested in joining one of the teams, simply click on the link for the trip you want to join and fill out the form. If you are unsure of the dates, you can complete the form at the bottom of this page and let us know you and your team want to join an existing trip. We will contact you to discuss upcoming trips to help find the right one for you!
Option 2 - Set up your own trip
If you have a team of 7+ people who are excited to serve together, whether from your church or group of friends, and you want to pick your own date, we can help plan all of the details for your trip. When possible, one of the members of our leadership team will travel with you, but that is not a requirement.

Widows Serving Widows
February 28 - March 7, 2026
Join For the Widow Ministries for a mission trip to Barahona, Dominican Republic to serve the most beautiful widows and share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the community. The focus of this trip is widows serving widows but anyone can join us – including college students, young adults, and families looking to transform spring break into kingdom impact.

June 20 - 27, 2026
The summer can be so busy with camps and trips but have you considered taking your family on a mission trip to serve others? Our summer trip includes children’s Bible study programs alongside widow visits. Ideal for adults, families, and church groups seeking a meaningful summer service experience.
Holiday Mission Trip
November 7 - 14, 2026
The holidays can be a lonely time for widows. Serve during the season of gratitude and thanksgiving. This trip offers a little cooler weather and a powerful reminder of what it means to give thanks through service.

Everything we do flows from James 1:27—caring for widows in their distress and making disciples who follow Jesus.
