Pray for the Widow

Believing in the power of prayer

For the Widow is a ministry based on Faith. While we believe in the importance of intentional planning, financial prudence, and wise choices, we also trust that the Lord is leading this ministry. That is why prayer partners are an essential part of supporting For the Widow.

Each quarter, we will have a list of specific ways you can pray for the widows, the community, and the ministry.

  • Please pray for our entire organization as we prepare to launch our pilot educational program for the widows, focusing on literacy. Specifically, pray for the funding needed for the program, all of our teachers who will be participating, and our widows to bring their patience and determination to this new challenge!
  • Pray for Betania as she prepares for surgery in the upcoming year.
  • Praise the Lord for sponsors for all 30 of our widows, and please continue to pray as we assess and add 7 new widows to the program. 
  • Praise the Lord for our incredible mission team that served the widows for 8 days in November!
  • Most importantly, Praise the Lord for Maisola's salvation! There is no greater part of serving these widows then seeing them come to faith in Jesus. Our mission team was able to witness this on their November trip and celebrate the new life that Maisola now lives.
