Come and Serve with Us
Family Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic!
The summer can be so busy with camps and trips but have you considered taking your family on a mission trip to serve others? Join For the Widow Ministries for a mission trip to Barahona, Dominican Republic to serve the most beautiful widows and share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the community. The focus of this trip is “Families Serving Together” but anyone can join us! This is a great opportunity for parents and kids (12+) to be the hands and feet of Jesus together!
Note: We have a suggested age limit for children to join us but you know your child. We are open to discussing a child younger than 12 joining us. We will explain what will be required and expected and then you can decide if your child is ready.
Trip Lead: Meredith Chase
Dates: July 2-9, 2024
Location: Barahona, Dominican Republic
Cost: $800/person + flight cost (The total cost of the trip is approximately $1,600 to $1,700 per person depending on where you are flying from.)
The $800/person paid to For the Widow Ministries includes ground transportation, food, lodging, and translators. Each participant is responsible for booking and paying directly for their flight. However, we can help with this if needed or desired! The only additional money you will need to bring is for souvenirs and a tip for the staff. The For the Widow Mission House in Barahona is a secure, gated, two-story home where we will stay during the trip. It is owned by a local family and managed by a pastor. For many years, the home has been used to host missionaries. The mission house is air conditioned with 6 bedrooms for comfortable sleeping. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are cooked and provided by the For the Widow team daily. The food is a combination of local cuisine with some American options. Bottled and filtered water is provided as the water is unsafe to drink.

Make a Lasting Impact
Every ministry must have committed financial supporters to complete the work God has called them to do. We are no different. Whether you can support the care of an individual widow, provide for specific needs, or be a founding supporter who provides operational resources, your generosity will go directly to the mission of the organization.
